AlienVision is a comprehensive client software for controlling and monitoring multiple Alien DVRs over the LAN or Internet. It is suitable for Windows PCs and ships with a bespoke copy of the Alien Desktop Widget.

This software supports :

• up to 200 DVRs
• Realtime viewing
• Substream viewing for low bandwidth scenarios
• Remote play back
• Remote search with Instant Detective
• Remote download
• Relay triggering for access control
• Remote configuration
• EMap - picture overlay with camera pin points
• Alarm monitoring

Requirements:

All software is Windows based requiring:

• OS: Windows 10 (both 32/64bit are supported), or Windows 11
• RAM: 16Gb recommended
• CPU: no special requirements
• Video: 1920x1080 (Note: Intel comment below)
• I/O: RS232-to-RS485 or USB-to-RS485 adapter required for serial port use
• LAN: Ethernet adapter required for network use
• Internet: required for registration purposes

Notes:

• Server editions of Windows are not supported
• Windows in a virtual environment is not supported

Known Issues:

• Graphics scaling - AlienVision does not support graphics scaling, you should keep text size at 100%
• Intel UHD Graphics - Some customers report that recent updates to the Intel UHD Graphics for Windows has had an adverse effect on AlienVision's viewing capability, they confirm that rolling back to an earlier version restores normal viewing.
