Forecaught is a Windows application that can receive Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) results from up to four cameras, the application displays live video down the left-hand side and camera snapshots to the right in an image grid.
When results are received, they are checked against a locally maintained blacklist, if there is a match, a warning will appear on the screen. The results can also be used to make a DVLA query to determine the make and colour of the vehicle.
The information returned by the DVLA is displayed under the corresponding image for the operator to compare.
Car Park & Property Monitoring
Not just for petrol station forecaughts - car park or property owners can utilise "Forecaught" to alert them when known "undesirable" vehicles enter their premises, notification takes the form of a popup window and audio played through the PC.
How it works:
Turn negatives into positives .. if a DVLA lookup indicates no tax or MOT, why not turn this bad news into good news? Most people genuinely forget to tax or MOT their car so you can be their guardian angel!
The DVLA lookup service is free of charge but requires an API access key, the process of obtaining a key takes about a week.
